Nothing specific, in preferences go to advanced then to the burning tab to let you set the burn mode to mp3. The only other option available for an MP3 disc is burn speed which you can generally leave at "maximum possible" but if you find discs don't burn properly you can try a reduced speed as it can help with some brands of disc. A lot of Apple users seem to like Verbatim discs and report fewer errors with these but your mileage may vary.

For the files you want to burn, you'll just need to create a playlist and drag and drop albums or tracks to your playlist. It'll keep a running total on the amount of data your playlist takes up, you'll get over 600MB on a CDR. There are a couple of tips on Apple's website about organizing the playlist before you burn the discs to make it easier to use in the car (I can't find them right now but can look tomorrow). Other thing is if your music is in AAC/MP4 format you'll probably need to convert it to MP3, you an do this directly from iTunes.

Good luck with the iBook!
