My Ride: 10 Melbourne Red X6M
My cousin is getting ready to sell his '92 red NSX w/ big brake kit and AVS 19" rims. He is offering me the first chance to buy it off of him if i want and to tell you the truth, it is really tempting. The only problem that he says is that car is leaking a little bit of oil? How big of a problem is this and would it be easily repairable? The Kelly Blue book is aroun 20k but he'll probably sell to me around 15-16k. Do you guys think thats a relatively good deal, with the oil leak in mind? I'm already paying out my ass for my 545i but I've always like the NSX. I'd probably have to take out a loan and be even more in debt. hahaha. So what do you guys think?

Haven't looked into those cars in a little while, but that does sound like a good deal. Can't help much on the oil leak issue though, but check out

You should probably ask this question on http://www.vtec.net/forums/forum?forum_id=41226 NSX forum.

My Ride: #1: 2004 545i; 6-speed manual; Sport Package; Mystic Blue with a gray leather interior and Anthracite wood; CWP; Logic 7.
#2: 2010 535xi Touring; Automatic.
Yes, you'd have to spend some money on upkeep at some point, but that's a supercool car to have as an extra. It's not going to depreciate much below that, right? It depends on how often you would use a badass, exotic-looking car like that. If you'd drive it around on weekends, it might be fun. But I guess the question is whether I'd borrow to do it. Hmmmmm. Could you garage it inside, so it would not get hacked by the sun down there? If so, I'd be more inclined to do it, because it would hold its value better.

Is this an automatic or manual? The automatic version puts out only 252 horsepower as opposed to the 270 that the manual had for that year. The interior is a bit dated, but it's as reliable as you can get with a sports car. A close friend of mine drives a 1992 auto NSX and I've raced him quite a few times with my lightly modded 1993 RX7 twin turbo. The RX7 feels quite a bit more responsive and rapid in acceleration but also feels alot less refined. An NSX is a great compromise if you want a sportier ride but don't want to sacrifice the creature comforts, unlike my RX7 which is abrasive on the senses.
If you get it, at least you won't ever suffer from the "What if" syndrome.
