Absolute travesty...
Won't spoil the result in case anyone hasn't seen it, but there's no way the winner was the most talented performer...

Well its chosen on by America, its not so much talented its who everyone likes the most/mainstream. Why do you think crap like souljaboy or 95% of the hiphop gets on the radio?

That show is for girls  I'd watch it if the loser had to battle the winners in thunderdome

I couldn't agree more. The winner blows -- just like this season did. One more seaon like this with no compelling contestants and the show is toast. This season had no real stars IMHO -- just mediocrities.

From what I saw of it over here, I thought Big Mike Lynche was pretty damn good. But I agree, on a whole, no one really stood out.

There hasn't been a winner with any kind of star quality since season 1, Clarkson, that's it. Everything after was a long drawn out cancellation of the show, which should probably be next year. I managed to watch the first season because of the wife, by season 2 she was bored with it and I was free
