Thanks for the link. I am still in awe of the SR-71. Not only is it the fastest airplane ever, it was built nearly 50 years ago and STILL has no equals, nothing even close....

One cool fact the article didn't mention is that Lockheed went thru a separate private company to buy the titanium ore for the plane from the Russians!!!
They then had to invent the necessary titatium manufacturing to build the planes.

Today I have a titanium watch but they still haven't surpased the SR-71.
