Anyone dissing hybrids and KERS are on friggin' crack (Marc! ). It is the future. You're effectively doing what "that guy" did when the Wright brothers decided to invent a flying machine (airplane - maybe you've heard of it). Basically, every new invention that strays from conventional notions of a product or service is always met with a huge dose of skepticism and even hate and anger. Don't be "that guy", dudes!
