..since we like quotes so much lets go through the thread and pick quotes...Lets see if miss525i actually had anything going when she said most people do not believe me

in support of 700700

Stealthblue'Feb 16 2006 11:12 PM

sorry to see you have been roughed up lately in the lounge.

Znod' date='Feb 16 2006, 01:45 AM' post='240851

I really don't care what the issue is, but I am strongly against storing up quotes and and pulling them up to get at another. Jock Strap obviously is a member who has a grudge against 700700. The pettiness of pulling up quotes, possibly out of context, to make someone look bad needs to stop or needs to be censured by our moderators. Jock Strap is not the only one who engages in this practice. I think Jock Strap should identify himself or herself and not hide behind the annonymity of a fake screen handle. Yes, I know, most of our handles are fake, but you know what I mean.

Znod' date='Feb 16 2006, 02:07 AM' post='240867

Personally, I am astounded that anyone would take annonymous comments seriously. The best thing to do with such comments is to completely ignore them.

jiio' date='Feb 16 2006, 02:41 AM' post='240895

I guess I'm almost young enough (32) to relate to 700700. He obviously got defensive when everyone started to gang up on him. It's human nature: Fight or Flight? You do two things, 1. Cower and hide or 2. Come out swinging. 700700 took it in the chin and is now hitting back.

Znod' date='Feb 16 2006, 10:07 PM' post='241392

I thought he posted a ton of pics on another thread. I keep accidentally going there--somewhere. Nice pics too.

Cool birthday! Mine, too. I like the double number birthdays. It means it doesn't matter whether you write it US or European-style. Although I was born a bit before 1985.

Somebody that registers and starts off with BS like this... I don't give a rats ass on it.
Who cares?

You are a member here for quite a while and you don't need to prove anything. By beeing a member and sharing infos about BMW you have allready proven that you are a legit member.

Just forget about it and move on.

At least i'm happy in the knowledge that this kind of thing happens on all the other Car Forums.

Having spent 4yrs+ on Audi Forums (UK mainly), you often get the same kind of battles, although this being a very International Board, sometimes grammatical & language & even cultural differences can throw up bigger disputes.

All's fair in love & war. If someone called me a liar, i'd be inclined to prove them wrong as 700700 has done, although i'm also a firm believer in no smoke without fire.

sapkan' date='Feb 16 2006, 03:41 PM' post='241172'
Has everyone cooled down now? I know 700700 and I can confirm that he used to own that steel grey M3 from the pix which a good friend of mine has bought from him recently. He does live in SW1 and so did I a couple of years ago (preffered SW7 all along to be honest ). Whoever is posting anonymous please stop wasting everybodys time.

tomwid' date='Feb 16 2006, 09:20 PM' post='241350'

BetterMakeWay' date='Feb 15 2006, 06:02 PM' post='240601'

Yeah...why exactly you? Why not me or anyother member? IMO you (700700) are the most controverst (don't know if that's the exact word) member that has joined in lately. It's my subjective opinion....

Bimmer32' date='Feb 15 2006, 05:26 PM'
700 700, you've mounted a reasonable rebuttal, but I do think that some, if not most, of your postings, depicts the mentional process of the average person in his/her late teens and early 20s. While I don't intend to indulge in specifics, comments such as thumbs down for an M5 over an e55, 550i, 3 LCs on a test drive, and comments that inadvertently look down on others, e.g. Cidair, are not well received

AC_S5' date='Feb 16 2006, 07:08 AM' post='241062'
Just post some pics as stream requested and talk about something else. 700700 I don't know why you are so defensive and all, is this a bi-product of freedom of speech? As I said earlier why is people stabbing you only, I see some other members share their views but they don't get the same treatment as you do

miss525i' date='Feb 16 2006, 05:18 AM' post='241014'
Bottom line guys, Jock Yard made his point, which many agree with...700700 made his point as well whether we believe it or not....

Again, grasping at straws, grasshopper. Pretty pathetic. So I guess your idea of a contribution to the forum is the sophomoric videos from those high class websites you apparently frequent...

yes miss525, you have proven without a doubt that the majority of people here do not believe me! please dont make me laugh

As much as I hate when people quote huge posts, I decided to in this instance so we wouldn't encounter any selective editing after the fact.

Selective perception is what you've exhibited.

It's interesting that you selectively used members quotes to defend yourself. Those "in support of" contain multiple quotes from a single member, while "those against" do not...and I know of one member who posted numerous posts in the later category. So why would anybody give any credence to your post?

Unfortunately, it appears you've decided against the post you made below.

anyways i am sick and tired of this ongoing thread, if you have to add something worthwhile
then please go ahead , otherwise let me post some pics up when i get back home so we can
bury this once and for all...
To quote Shakespeare:
The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

As I said before, put up or shut up. Post pix, or the assumption will be you're another JonD. The ball's in your court!

And the quote in your sig from Ferdie displays a certain level of insecurity and immaturity...a legend...in your own mind...

Oh god this makes me laugh. I am being catagorize as those that are against you, all those people are just saying the truth and you've got to learn how to handle the truth. But seriously I don't care if you don't consider me as friend because I am against you, those people that you said are in support of you aren't really "supportive" in a way that their comments are neutral just like us the people that you said are against you. Why I ask do I need to go against you, what good does it do for me if you go away? I wouldn't have these great laughs if you didn't start this thread so seriously I should thank you for making my day.
