Duh...do the thieves ever realize they won't go too far with these trucks? Gotta stop at the next gas station.

My Ride: 2005 545i /w Sport pkg - SMG - Nav - Premium pkg - PDC - Ready to begin my modding! =)
If you'll notice the list is dominated by trucks/SUV's mainly because they take them south of the border and re-sell them. Supossedly the laws in Mexico and SA are so lax its an easy thing to do w/o penalty. I can pretty much guaranty that the majority of the list are from Texas, CA and AZ as well.
Glad to see the high gas prices are not affecting the theives as much as the common folk!

Maybe the majority are "stolen" off of dealership lots or at homes when the keys just happen to be in them? Hell, nobody will buy them, and with the discounts and incentives like 0% financing, it doesn't look like they can give them away. Maybe people/dealers prefer to let the insurance companies pay for them.

These are also popular for parts. There are lots of these on the road in middle America so selling the bits is easy.
I guess the long time contender (89-91 Toyota Camry) is just to long in the tooth to make the list anymore.
