During practice the Ferrari's were flying. Even US driver Scott Speed (in a STR-Ferrari) was fast.
Robert is back for BMW, however, Nick had a recurring back pain giving him problems and was turning out slower lap times than almost everybody on the track. He was cleared by medical personnel to begin qualifications but Sebastian Vettel is on standby once again.

I'll post results after qualifications.

Hopefully Hamilton can get by Massa at the first turn, to dictate the race.

Better late than never...here is how they are lining up for tomorrows race:

1 Felipe Massa Ferrari
2 Lewis Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes
3 Kimi R?ikk?nen Ferrari
4 Robert Kubica BMW
5 Giancarlo Fisichella Renault
6 Heikki Kovalainen Renault
7 Nick Heidfeld BMW
8 Jarno Trulli Toyota
9 Nico Rosberg Williams-Toyota
10 Fernando Alonso McLaren-Mercedes
11 Ralf Schumacher Toyota
12 Jenson Button Honda
13 Rubens Barrichello Honda
14 Mark Webber Red Bull-Renault
15 Scott Speed STR-Ferrari
16 David Coulthard Red Bull-Renault
17 Vitantonio Liuzzi STR-Ferrari
18 Alexander Wurz Williams-Toyota
19 Takuma Sato Super Aguri-Honda
20 Anthony Davidson Super Aguri-Honda
21 Christijan Albers Spyker-Ferrari
22 Adrian Sutil Spyker-Ferrari

Looks like Robert is back with a vengeance in his BMW. Nice work as he sits in 4th.
Lewis was only 0.07 seconds slower than Felipe and is starting in 2nd with the Brazilian at pole position.
Fernando in 10th place is his worst starting position this season due to gearbox problems. We all know, of course, that this is because the McLaren-Mercedes team was spending more time tuning Lewis' car than Fernando's.

Yes, that 1st turn is very important. For Magny Cours, however, that first turn is a gentle left leading to another gentle left at turn 2 followed by a right sweep at turn 3 so not much of a nail biter but you never know. I think the launch will be very important here instead. Keep your eyes on Robert and especially Nick. The BMW's are very quick from a dig.

Lewis is fun to watch. I too would like to see him do well.

Here's my prediction of the start. Robert will jump on Kimi, and Nick will pass both Renaults right from the start

Bad prediction it seems.

Nice race none the less. I love how Nick fought very hard with Alonso despite a serious back pain.

Ferrari ruled the race and some voices say that they will rule at Silverstone too. We'll see how quick McLaren will respond and introduce the new mods.

Kubica was a star also, considering the ugly accident from Canada.

Hamilton drove good, but my word, what was with the 3 stop strategy?

Loved the way that guy (Sutil?!) went out with the hose attached to the car THat was a huge premiere.

Yeah, it took out about two guys from the pit crew.

I think Nick did what he could to hold off Fernando. Alas, the stronger car wins but it was fun watching that battle.

It was funny hearing the race commentators mention how stale Kimi's personality is, how he likes to keep to himself, and how his expressions are often so blank.

Anyway, congrats to the Ferrari team taking 1st and 2nd. Felipe didn't look very happy, but watching the race again, it seems his last pit stop was too long.

Yeah it was too long and that combined with the fact that when he went out of the pits he stumbled by some late drivers who had a battle of their own. So a few seconds here and there, that what Kimi needed.

And yeah lol, that lil robot was so freaking hilarious at the press conf. :lol Even our moderators said smth like: Hey somebody should tell Kimi that he won.
