1 thing I dont get is why dose it say 1 0f 79 built in 1979 and the SN plate says Jan 84?????

Awesome car. My dealer had two in the used car show-room on display. You can similarities with the original 6ers from that period. No doubt it has an incredible engine sound -- would love to drive one of those.

I was lucky enough to see one in real life once - a dealer had just opened up near where I grew up and they had a red one in the showroom I think as a lure.
The 8 series borrowed strongly from it, but the M1 was a mid-engined car. Most look quite a bit tamer.
