yes, but has an OFF position and 4 alternating levels of signal amplification. One of our members just installed it in his car - link in the OP.

I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger on this purchase and I think that I would mount it to the underside of the dash just to the right of the steering column. There is a space about 6 inches wide or so.

I assume this is the AUGSPECIAL promotion? So sounds like it will go through August. This is a great deal with the $50 off and then the 8%. I wish I had not bought a SB and just installed it this past weekend. It would be a no-brainer. I'm just trying to decide if I went to go the through the process of selling (at a loss i'm sure even though it's been used for 3 days) and uninstall of SB and install of velocity.

Couple questions:
1. I am still under warranty and would need to remove every time I go to the dealer. I don't want to leave sticky areas on my dash from adhesion of 3M tape and then removal and then adhesion and then removal, etc. Any way around this?

2. Also, what would be the best way to hide the wires so they aren't just dangling in the driver's footwell?
