I have an '07 525i that have non-LCI lights. I'm fairly positive these are halogens, but whether or not they have "projectors" I'm not sure. I'll post a pic of it soon and maybe you guys can tell me. In either case I would be interested in these lights as long as it wont interfere with the OEM LCI tail lights + Bruce's V6 cables I'm about to pick up in the other group buy thread.
Prior to seeing this thread I pretty much wrote off LCI head lights because I read it required about $3000 worth of parts & labor to upgrade; I'm guessing in large part due to adaptive nature of the OEM LCI headlights. I also wasn't aware there were so many iterations of head lights until reading this thread. Do I have the following list right, and are you proposing #6?

- OEM Halogens -- No projector
- OEM Halogens -- With Projector
- 3rd Party Xenon -- Non Adaptive
- OEM Xenon -- Adaptive
- OEM Xenon LCI -- Adaptive
- 3rd Party Halogen LCI -- Non-Adaptive

So here is a picture of what I got, these are certainly pre-LCI halogens but you tell me if they have 'projectors' or not.
As a follow up to my post above, if the OEM headlights are so expensive to install because of their adaptive nature than I can do without that. All I really want are LCI-like head lights with xenon bulbs which don't produce any iDrive errors or interfere with OEM tail lights w/ V6 cables.

Count me in...(if this is still active).
I have 2005 pre-LCI Halogens, UK spec.
I would be happy with the non-adaptive as I have read that to activate adaptive fron non-adaptive setup requires some heavy electronic fiddling (additional stealer time / cost)
I have already added a HID upgrade - is the idea that you provide the housing and a HID upgrade to mount inside? If so, can I re-use the HID's I already have?
Thanks,
