i don't think dave simply copied SOARISTO's design...
dave's design uses something else rather than using just a modified/custom made LED housing because it doesnt have that huge heatsink/fan for the housing...
i'm not sure, but its just my opinion i guess

You might be right... but from the looks of this pic it just looks like a heat sink to me so I thought it was a copy of Soaristo's design...

Agree, it is a nice design & does set the headlamps off nicely, but a little too much $$ for my tastes. the standard ones look fine, so it's only a small visual enhancement & too much money for just that.

Frankly I'd trust the PIAA bulbs more. They're supposedly cheaper and its a reliable brand. Only problem right now is its non availibility in foreign markets besides Japan but I'm sure it'll be available anywhere anytime within the coming months, so I'd prefer to wait. I think they look great..Nice Job 
But I am leasing so I would never spend that kind of $$.
I also like the Halogen look because I think it offsets the Xenons nicely when they are both on. JMHO.
