After reading the installation instruction many times, I am pretty sure that coding is needed for the car without aux-input. I had asked Fred this question but he has not responded yet. I am thinking of getting the aux-input install first before doing the ACM myself. I will ask dealer the price to install and code the aux-input, hopefully, not too expensive.

just pull out the part inside the body trim (not the side step underneath the doors that has the bmw/ m logo, but the one on top of the carpet)...it's locked by a coupe of plastic clips that mount to the body on top of the carpet flooring...fyi, i have load-through rear seats system, so i didn't have to take the seats out. i just pulled the side part of the backrest to access through the boot...

Yup, you need audio aux input for the audio from your dvd changer to work as of the same quality as playing audio cd/dvd from the ccc slots...i have it...so, there's no problem...i forgot to tell you that my changer has dts/dolby options...so, when you activate this function on your aftermarket dvd changer while watching a movie, you'll feel like sitting inside a mini-theatre...it's awsome!

Aux-input was installed by dealer @ $271, coding not included. Next step is to remove the inline high pass filter and then install ACM module.
