Apple Carplay on CPO car
I just purchased a CPO 2018 540i xDrive, which did not have Apple Carplay activated. I know that BMW changed its position on Carplay in 2019 to an annual subscription fee. After much bad publicity BMW announced that it was no longer charging for Carplay. Now when I go onto the Connected Drive website, they want me to pay $300 to activate Carplay. Anyone had any experience with this issue.

No they are charging to activate the option just not charging a yearly fee. If you pay for it it would only be for 10 years. There's a cheaper way but I won't get into that here. What is your build date? You should have the iDrive 6 NBT EVO?
