I didn't see much in the way of specs but to be honest, I didn't look very hard either. I think they did have something listing specs in front of the car but I never paid attention to it. The car on display was a 550iGT with an 8 speed automatic. They had a couple BMW guys there to answer any questions but I never thought of asking about engines...

This may be old news but I forgot to mention that they also were showing an X6M along with the X5M and a new X-drive 750i.
I'm not much of an "X" fan but I have to say the X6M looked really amazing!![Cool](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif)

Booo! They have them at our dealer and they look like crap. Aesthetically, BMW could have done a MUCH better job on the X M versions. Not to mention, the transmission is just a glorified SAT tranny. DCT would have been nice for all that money. The only thing nice about the X M's is the engine. Everything else is not M worthy. The brakes are not even drilled or slotted. The wheels look terrible. Blah!

Everything you said makes sense from the standpoint on an M car. My comment was about how I thought it looked pretty amazing just sitting there with it's agressive stance, etc.
I didn't even look at the window sticker or what transmission options there are. One of my only real complaints about the way it looked was that there was too much room between the top of the tire and the wheel well. It actually looked like they forgot to remove the shipping blocks (but they did...)

I also attended the presentation of the 5 GT (and X1) at the dealership last night. I asked a sales rep if the technical specs of the car would be the same or similar on the F10 and he could not answer. I asked about the 535i GT engine and he told me it was a twin turbo, but different from the current 335i TT I6 engine. He could not say much more on the engine however, so I don't know if it is reliable or not. I could try the new iDrive (navigation, adress input, etc.) and it is much more responsive than mine. Probably difference due to hard drive (much faster than DVD).
I don't want to add one more very subjective opinion on the external design, however I feel that other 4-door coupes have more elegance and visual impact thant this one. I like much more the design of the new F01, and if the F10 turns out to be a smaller/more agressive F01 I am sold.

seen it already, they flew them ino HK early in the month
the 535i gt has a twin scroll single turbo with just 8% less power than a twin turbo engine, a lot were sold in Sep and deliveries will arrive in HK in Jan.

Visited the dealer today and saw the new 5GT....
The tires were huge! But the rest of the car was not so smashing. I still think the front grilles are way too big, especially on chrome, the dash looks like it was taken from Infiniti or Nissan and the car is very high.
--> No.
