The GT is one of the few BMW that I like! But then I've never been big fan of sedans though. Just remember when the E60 came out, no one liked it as well. It is one of those object that is hard to capture in photographs but looks great in real life. The shape is very dynamic without being exotic, thus making more sense in motion.

Man you guys are really beating up on the OP. Korrosive I love the car to me it brings the balance of form and function together.
I guess its each his own but I'm glad to see Bmw covering all aspects of cars.

I never really liked the E60 but I loved the E61 from the first shots I saw of it. The front ends are the same, like them both as they are identical, but really didn't care much for the E60 rear. The Gt is just strange to me in the rear.
Now, I just walked around a new 650 and WOW that's a gorgeous car It's interior makes all of our E60 or GT cars look old and dated by comparison.
Lucky I still love my E61 interior but I really was taken by the new direction BMW has gone with the 6 series.

Hi
Not been around for a while.
It seems people either love or hate the GT.
Just a thought but here are some comments from other forums about the E60 (the original name of this forum):
- E39 vs. E60
If money was no bar, which design would you prefer, the E39 or the E60?
- Personally I cannot stand the redesign of the 5 Series.
- I wanted to like the E60...
...but I don't. Sad as I'm pretty loyal to BMW and on my 5th one. Just bought an '02 530i...because I wanted to get one before it drifts away into history...and then all I'd be left with was the E60 (or the end of my loyalty).
- E60 is an eyesore & looks better under a car cover
- E39, the E60's interior makes me want to puke
Wikipedia:
Its styling (designed by late BMW designer Davide Arcangeli) and many of its advanced features received mixed reviews. It is noted for its non-traditional BMW design, the most controversial being the "Bangle butt" rear-end, though since then critics have said that the design has aged well as of 2010. Despite criticism over its exterior design and interior electronics, this became the best-selling 5 Series.
- The AA
Image-wise the Five has taken a few hits from critics who believe the car's looks will count against it when up against more conservative rivals. There's no doubt the car is an acquired taste, but BMW's underlying brand image is strong enough to push through acceptance in the long run.
Like the F07 the E60 experienced early critcism.
I guess we'll see how people take to it and we see more on the road.

I love the F07, I have a 530GT M Sport which I have owned for over two years, can't think of a better car to be in at the price (£26k at two years old). It's so comfortable and even with 21" wheels it rides well.
Absolutely love em.
