Dear all

This is my first post and I hope to get some advice from you guys. I'm just ordering the latest 523i and one function that I really want is to be able to play music from my Iphone/Ipod to the car's audio system via bluetooth. What components do I have to order to get this function. Going through the option specs list, 3 parts seem relevant:

644: Preparation for mobile phone with bluetooth interface

6FL: USB audio interface

6NF: Extended connectivity of music player in the mobile phone

My qeustion is, do I need to order all three parts to get the function that I want to work properly. Thanks in advance, appreciate your help especially those that alrady have this function working.

Plus that you have to order the Hi-Fi Professional Audio System.

Just ask you dealer about it - the BMW dealer.

Unfortunately my dealer is kind of useless. Thanks for the advice, yes I've order the Hi Fi Professional Audio System too. I guess my main question is do you need the USB Audio Interface to play music using bluetooth? My own understanding is that the USB interface is just that...i.e. to connect the music using USB cable. I fail to see why it is needed if I want to use bluetooth. Can someone please clarify.....many thanks

Bluetooth stereo audio is not available until September production of the F10 models using the new "advanced" Bluetooth option. Not sure what the new option code is. But it's not 6FL or 6NF. Those options do not feature Bluetooth audio functionality. They will play your iPhone/iPod through USB and aux-in.

I have an iPhone 4 connected through BT to my car. I found out by accident yesterday that you can listen to the memos recorded on the phone via BT. Pretty cool I thought for a 2005/2006 model! Just need to figure out why I would want to do this.
