Alloys RAL code & Windscreen seal
Hi all,
I have a F10 530d M Sport with 19 inch style 351M alloys. Front nearside has kerbing. BMW want £100 to break the tyre seal, sand and repaint. Alloy Wheel Solutions Hereford will sandblast and powder coat four 17 inch alloys for £220. ( a little more for 19 inch) I had a secondhand winter wheel set done for my son's M140i. Brilliant job, better than new. However, the owner James Bond (that's correct) only stocks a dozen or so powder coating colours. I would like to keep the same colour on my alloys as they look good against Sophisto grey. He can match the colour if I can find the RAL code. Does anyone have any idea what the code is? Secondly I had a windscreen replacement within the last 2 years (National windscreens). There is a rubber seal that sits on top of the windscreen and lies against the roof. It had become loose at the centre and dropped. Is it a seal to stop water entering or cosmetic/wind reduction seal? I don't think it was attached to the screen but not sure! I had my second oil service today and BMW inform me that the seal costs £25 but would require the windscreen to be removed to fit it. They have NO idea what the purpose of the seal is, Thanks! |
