Hey all,
I wanted to vinyl wrap my interior trim and possibly my roof as well, just got bit by the mod bug so I wanted so start with some minor modifications. After some searching I came across this wrap from 3M:

http://www.pyspeed.com/ProductDetail...ctCode=RD-8081

What do yall think? I am a newbie and have never worked with any type of vinyl wrapping, but i'm pretty handy so I was thinking I could do this myself, especially with the help of the YouTube video on the website. Any input would be appreciated.

Yea if you want your life to be a bit easier, go with the Di-Noc 3M pre-applied adhesive backing CF vinyl. Its decently easy to work with IF you have a hair dryer or heat gun. The edges are a bit tricky but it's not too bad. BTW, if you look around a bit, there are cheaper places to buy the vinyl. I get mine off eBay.

Thanks for the info Krozi. I searched "Di-Noc 3M" on Ebay and found a many different color options but nothing too much different in price. Is this one more like yours?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3M-DI...#ht_1614wt_939

Also whats the main reason for the hairdryer, stretching the material or just getting it to lay flat? I just realized I posted in the wrong section so thanks for the reply regardless.

Well you don't need all that much. They sell the material in different sizes. For my M3's interior I bought this:

Then I switched to a graphite vinyl:

The material isn't very flexible so you need heat to stretch and manipulate the material a bit. Just heat the crap out of it and it will become really flexible. This makes it possible to stretch the vinyl over edges and it also activates the adhesive. It won't stick right when cold. You cannot do this job without at least a hairdryer.
