BMW's M division has officially announced that the next-generation M5 will be powered by a twin-turbocharged V8

2012 BMW M5
- 4.4L V8 Twin Turbo
- DCT (7 or 8 speed?)
- Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS)
- M button (add 100 hp)
- Around 572 - 600 hp (It does not mention the torque.. I guess around 500-600 of torque)

I would think 8, as the current m3 is as well as the rf10 550 and 535i the sport auto transmissions are...

Wow. With KERS, peak output would be just about 700 bhp. Unbelievable. I so want this.
