Default Monday is for M: 633-WHP BMW M5 Bullies the Dyno

It probably takes hundreds of thousands of horsepower to kill a dyno, but as cars like the BMW M5 get more powerful, (especially when tuned) you begin to wonder how upset the dyno must be as it gets a wallop from a pair of rear tires. In this week’s edition of Monday is for M, [...]

Cool HP and video. But torque is where its at. I couldn't read the charts at the end of the vid. What are your torque numbers? I built and owned a 79 Porsche turbo that had 525 hp and 500 ft lbs of torque, but all of it came on around 4000 rpm. But my 550 beat it in a drag race with 1500 lbs more weight and 125 less hp. The 450 ft lbs of torque came on at 1800 rpm in the 550 and it walked away (until we got about 1/3 mile down the road)...

Default HP upgrades

It has been a long time since I have been on this site but I am glad to be back. At least since I picked up my 2013 AW M two years ago.

But, I have been catching up the past couple of weeks. Great results on your tune and the impressive HP gains. Where or whom did you get your Switzer tune from and did it remove the speed limiter? And, did you have to ship your DME in to have this done? Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
