BMW should be putting A LOT more performance distance between the F10 550 and F10 M5, as it did with the E60 550 and the E60 M5. You simply could not easily mod the E560 550 to even approach the power of the E60 M5. NOT SO with the F10.
I really like the F10 M5's looks. But I expected more in the horsepower and acceleration department than BMW's media package for the F10 M5 indicates.

A 4.4 second 0 to 62 time is very disappointing. The Panamera Turbo is so much quicker. I expected a time more like 3.8-4 seconds. I also expected more than 560 bhp. A F10 550 with a killer tune and some mods could approach 560 bhp. Indeed for about $3K, a Dinan Stage 2 reflash (which is ONLY software) vaults the car's power to over 500 bhp -- uncomfortably close to the 560 bhp for the F10 M5.

Power is nothing without control.

I agree completely. No one would say that the Panamera Turbo put its power down without control. And I sure the F10 M5 will be a solid handler. But I would have expected faster acceleration times. Well I guess that will be the role of the tuners.
