My Ride: 2011 F10 535i -Brilliant Graphite/Oyster 2006 E5004matic- I must have been on drugs when I got this car 2004 545i Black Sapphire/Truffle Brown interior

I found a set of Micheline Pilot PA3 winter run flats which will cost me $1439.15 installed and tax in. This matches Dunlops which I could get from TireRack once I factor in shipping duty intallation etc...

I read the reviews for the PA 3 on tire racks website although they were not the run flat version as they do not sell this tire in a run flat.
Reviews seem very positive. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these tires on their 5 series before I bite the bullet?

Thanks

One of my friends had the PA3's a while back on his MB E350. He said that snow traction wasn't very good but was decent on dry roads.

I am not crazy about messing with my all season run flats so I am leaning towards a package. We are very limited in selection here in Canada, so I may just have to order something from tire rack and bite the bullet and pay the duty. In checking Tire rack site, it appears that I will have to also purchase a new set of tire pressure monitors for $ 200.00 .

If anyone has gone the tire rack route, I would love to see and hear what you got and what the damage was. Thanks
Hello If you are located in the GTA (Toronto) area try Bramalea tire, they sell rims and tires; There prices are at least 30% less than the dealers.

Try A.I.M. located in Markham at 905-1771. Ask for Phil (the owner). Huge selection and incredible prices.

Thanks for all the replies, I finally decided to go non run flats for the winter and picked up a set of Toyo Observe Garitt KS 245 45 18. I am amazed on how much better the drive and handling is with these tires even if they are winter tires. They are quieter than my Goodyear Run Flats which I only have 10,000 kms on (6250 miles) and they are glued to the road. We had a ton of rain here over the last couple of days and they perform very well in the rain as well as on dry roads. We will see how they do in snow and ice. I was very surprised over the difference in weight of the tires from the run flats to the non run flats. I know winter tires use a softer compound over all season's which kind of defeats the purpose when using a Run Flat in the winter. Thanks again for all the suggestions.
