M kit definitely worth it if your going for a sportier look.
If "sport" exterior appearance, anthracite headliner or extra thick M sport steering wheel isn't much of an appeal, then I would say save the 6k and either grab other options or spend it on a Anniversary trip with your wife

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
