My car came into Baltimore VPC on 10/28/2010 and sat their until 11/10/2010. I have heard by rumor it had something to due with everything from a tire DOT spec sticker needing to be replaced to some issue about tire shortages and shipping cars without proper tires and needing them to be replace when they got to US. Also heard worldwide rft tire shortage?

Anything to this?

I posted something in another thread about the tire supply problem (where they were building & shipping cars with the incorrect tires on purpose due to an inventory shortage) and yes, the cars were being held at the VPC until the correct tires could be installed.

If you heard this "rumor" from my post, then it's hard to say how much truth there is to all of this. I have no reason to believe that my information isn't accurate but that doesn't mean it's true either...
