Hi,

I was searching for a "magic box" to enable video playback while driving. I've had something like that in my previous E60 and it worked good.

Today I found the website dvdinmotion.com where they offers a CD for unlocking this function in F10. They claim that no hardware is needed anymore to do this and it looks really easy to install. Is it true? Has anyone tested this already?

I just wanted to share my experience. After some hesitation I bought the video unlocking CD from dvdinmotion.com. Got the software 30 minutes later, burned the CD, installed in 5 minutes and ... WOW, IT WORKS! This is really an excellent product.

I bought this for my new 2011 F10 535i. My previous BMW was E60 530i.

Don't know on which E60's it works but you should ask as they respond very fast to any questions.

How's the resolution on the F10?

Is it able to play back Dolby Digital/DTS soundtracks?

I was able to play DVD with the DTS logo on it so I guess the unit is capable of decoding such DVDs
