Today my BMW dealer gave me an F10 530d for test drive during the week-end.
So far I just went out on dinner with the family to a fisherman village next to my home town driving approximately 50 km. The car looks and is quite big and the interior compared to the E60 is very classy. I must say that I really like it however it seams too much an F01 7 series. Compared to my E61 Msport the suspensions are too soft even in sport mode and the ride too noisy. It might be that I am used to a petrol engine but in this car the engine and the tyres rolling (19" runflat) noises are too much. What I like is the power of the engine and the torque but on this specific car I am missing the sport automatic gear box as this has the standard automatic with 8 gears.
I will come with some more details and photos on Monday.

Hi ///Marco.it,

I did also test drive the F10 530dA.
See this tread.

You say:
"... the tyres rolling (19" runflat) noises are too much."

When I test drove the car (with brand new Continental 19" RF tires)
on our rough roads, I did think the car was pretty quiet.

Especially the road noises compared with my E60 with 19" wheels.

I second Ric's experience on this.
I've also had a 530dA for a whole day of test driving. On cold but dry asphalt roads with studded wintertyres on 328's (18").
One of the positive things was the low tyre noise...

Everything was fine the car is great, power, torque, handling. The only remarks is the noise inside due to diesel engine and too soft suspensions even on Sport mode. I am waiting to test one with Msport suspension, they must be great on such car.

Here are some photos.
