Sun protection glass -v- afftermarket windoe tint

My Ride: Just gone-520d m sport- Jet Black- Dakota Leather black- AluCube interior,
On order- F10 520d SE-Titanium Silver
After doing some research I have found I can get all windows tinted aftermarket for half the price of sun protecion glass (3 rear windows) from factory on new F10-
Could I ask forum members to let me know neagative or positive experiences on aftermarket tints. Do you have to be careful when cleaning? Is the film easily scratched by kids? Is the application successful on the rear screen given access is very limited?
My boss had his X5 windows tinted 3 yrs ago with no problems although there is a 1mm clear gap around the window edge- normal?
Thx in advance for feedback. Have to finalise order tomorrow.

Watch out for cheap aftermarket tints!
Here, factory tint is about the same price as a good aftermarket tint.
Even if I could get aftermarket tint for half the price I'd take factory tint, hands down.
