Here's some pics I took today. After a long weekend without using my car the result was as you can see:
close to a disaster.
We had half a meter of snow (just under two feet) in just a few days, more than ever in early Dec.

But thanks to an hour of hard labor and with the help the F10's DST system the car was out the snowy
roads without any problems, warm and cosy.

And please also note my OEM V-Spoke 328 18" winters

Man sorry to hear about that.

On the other side of the world, us in Socal will be having 80 degree weather this coming weekend. Crazy.

Looks nasty Ric, sorry to see that. Not to be mean, it looks like fun.

Yet on another side of the world, this is a sight to behold as I live in the tropics - we have only 3 seasons in a year - hot, hotter, hottest!!

Hey Ric,

I know what you are going through, we had 30 cms ( 1 Foot) of snow this past Monday with another 30 cms due this coming Sunday/Monday. I am curious on your opinion of how the car handled in all that snow. I was not very impressed, you really have to massage the gas peddle to avoid the traction control coming on. Once the car is moving is was not so bad but from a standing stop this car does not like get going on snowy and icy roads. I had the same thing on my 545 so I was used to it and know you have to be real gentle with the gas peddle. I was stopped at a traffic light on a road with a very slight incline, the light turns green, I gently pressed on the peddle and the car was just crawling, just did not want to move. I was kind of longing for my MB E500 4matic that I had last winter. Anyways, we get maybe 10 -12 days like this a year so I just need to tough it out, still prefer driving a non awd for the balance of the year.

Hi gab, at least you understand what problems this makes for the whole infrastucure.

The rwd F10 handles pretty nice as long as you use the DST (press once the DSC buttom).
But on the mucky roads go back to the DSC normal and use the DST if needed (traffic lights etc).

I probably have better winter tires than you, my Michelin's are no MS tires but full Nordic winter tires.
Most cars have studded winter tires over here and the Nokian's are the best of them.

We are getting half a foot more of this "fun" this nite.
I'm thinking of moving to the Canary Islands and buying a 440 six-pack MoPar from '70 or '71...
