F10 Discussion Anything and everything to do with the F10 5 Series. The F10 made it's debut in 2010 as a MY2011.

So I just picked up F10 and it doesn't work...

Hey guys...so I sold my 6spd '04 530i and now have a 535xi.

Still getting used to everything...I didnt even have BT or Navi before. Love the new seats...but miss the manual tranny.

Anyways I wanted to start a thread where we all log what is wrong with our cars. This will make it easier for everyone to keep an eye out on things.

So far...my cup holder lid gets stuck...I have to tap it a hundred times for it to open up and the same to close it.

Figure, on my new F10 530d, I will never use cup holder, but it works fine and perfect.

I will discover how to remove it in order to have more space for my coins or document holders or tickets.

23,000 Kilometres and in the last month a check engine light has illuminated.

Dealer diagnosed a general air intake (MAF) error that was transient and was cleared with no other action....
..... fault light is now on again 500K later

I thought the cup holder was a big departure from the past in-dash unit. The cover seemed just huge and mine would never close...I'm sure it wouldn't have taken much to fix it but I just left it open. Of course I spilled on the edge with my oversized offering from St@rbucks and was freaking out and it was just a loaner. Keep something handy in the glovebox for those misshaps.
