Ringing noise in 2011 F10
#1
Hi folks, I get a ringing noise in my car...sounds like it comes from the front left side of the engine bay. It occurs almost daily at random times. Everything runs fine and it's not associated with acceleration, braking, steering, A/C, etc. Car is at the dealer now. Any thoughts? IMG_1614_0.wmvIMG_1617_0.wmv

Yes....it's a whistle/resonance from the A/C system.
Quite a few F10's have been affected - including mine - have a look at these two threads ( sorry, the second one is in German )

My dealer tells me there is a PUMA for the problem, but as it a) requires a strip out of the A/C system and b) they haven't had to do this to an F10 before, I'm going to put up with it for now, and let someone else go first

Same problem with my car.
Sometimes there's a whistling sound from the AC. It seem to come from the drivers side (left).
It sounds like the valves don't close properly. It is quite annoying.
But it's good to hear that there's a fix for it....
