The M5 was; Turn off ignition, pull and hold paddle shifters, turn on ignition hold for 5 seconds then release, start and drive. should be the same.

that's for the SMG transmission (it's actually: drive to 30-40 mph, shift to nuetral, then pull both paddles towards you for 5-10 secs IIRC)....there's a different reset for non SMG automatic transmissions (25 sec trick). Not sure if it's still the same for DCT transmission...

I'm interested to know if the SMG reset works for the M-DCT or even non M DCT transmission....

I had to drive some 2,000 km's to get the trans to work nicely (from a newly born car).

... And after a recent trip to my dealer to have a Check Engine light reset, my transmission was back to being a bit clunky like when it came from the factory, so the dealer can definitely do some sort of reset (whether intentional or not!)

I've been to the dealer and all they said was to keep driving the car..they said it would adapt to my driving. The car has adapted to my heavy foot but when I try to go easy it doesn't know what to do lol..I'll give the 25 second thing a try, thanks.
