My Ride: 2004 545i TITANIUM GREY II on Black Dakota Lthr, Comfort Seats, Sports PKG, Premium PKG, Active/Dynamic Drive, NAV, Winter Package.
Yesterday I stopped by the dealer and walked around the lot checking the new F10 with M package, what a beauty!
Question: I noticed one F10 out of the three the dealer had in the lot the speedometer area was all black and the others you can see the numbers etc, is the dark display the new one with the 3D graphics on the bottom?
Also I saw a 750 with the M package with the 353M wheels but in 20" and staggered, much nicer than the 19" that they have on the F10, can someone order the F10 with the 20" staggered? The rears where almost flashed with a tire size of 275/30/20 on the 750.
Bottom line, it is such a beautiful and luxurious car!

Sorry I noticed a typo in the wheel number I meant 351M which is 303M in 20" I believe!
One more question; why BMW did not go with staggered wheels on the M-Package but did with the Sports Package?

Hi Moopai,
Please note the differance between the F01 (7-series) and F10 (5-series).
The dark display is new for the EU F10 MY '12.
Available from the Sept. production this year (or was it from spring '11?)

I'm curious.....is the new dark display LED?
I hate my analog, back-lit gauges....it's too "old school."

As of 3/11 production you can order 6WA extended black panel display. Whole display goes dark when the car is off, lights up when car turns on, and has extended display across bottom of dash window. To get this you have to order Head Up Diplay, which is way cool too
