I just leased a 2016 550i. LOVE IT!!!!

It has the smartphone adapter, however it won't work with my phone. So the darn thing is useless to me and is taking up a bunch of space in my glovebox. It seems like it should be pretty easy to remove. I took part of it apart but couldn't figure out how to take apart the electrical connections. Does anyone have any info or step by step pictures and instructions on how to remove the smartphone adapter that's built into the console?

 

Maybe you need to replace your phone that's not so smart.

 

LOL. My phone is too smart. I have the Samsung S7 Edge. Their system doesn't cover that phone. How weird. I just want to remove it and get back my glovebox space.
