Default purchase E39 M5 or keep 2011 550i n63 w/30k miles

I was wondering what input I could get regarding a decision I might be making soon... should I keep my perfectly clean 2011 550i with 30,000 miles on it or should I sell it and trade it for a decent example of an e39 m5. I always loved the e39 but I was curious to see what anyone thought on this comparison... thank you. Its an older car with less options and I dont know if I would regret the decision. If anything, the 550i has more torque and power and takes off faster but lemme know what ya'll think

I'm not sure why you'd even consider swapping a 9-year old car for one that is at least 17-years-old. And your chances of finding a "decent example" of an E39 M5 in "decent" shape are slim to none. You can upgrade the 550i, so I'd go that route.

I would get rid of the 550i and look for something with a better engine

If the N63 in your 550i hasn’t exploded yet, very likely due to low miles, I guarantee you it’s a ticking time bomb and it has been nicknamed by BMW traders as “The Exploder”.

E39 M5 is ancient now and will lead you to bankruptcy just as quick.
