I really enjoy my E60. However the improvements in the F10 are mind boggling. They have the cabin dialed in to absolute perfection. The center stack has a lot of stuff in it now. The programmable buttons have been increased from 6 to 8. The screen is larger. I am not a big fan of too many buttons. However the number has been increased slightly so that you can directly to feature or control. It is a very nice blend. The 535 drove so well that I am considering dropping down to that to get the better gas mileage. The engine was quite torquey and fun to drive. Very few things exceed my expectations. This went well beyond my expectations. I cannot believe what a great job that BMW did with the F10.

Excellent write-up ... thanks for sharing. While it has been nice to read some of the initial reviews by automotive journalists, it's even more exciting to read yours!
I better head over to Fields BMW to see if they have a demo car yet.

Thanks. I enjoyed, in particular, your description of the exterior and the side by side comparison shots. Arguably bland at first glance, the design does grow on you. While I can't quite place a finger on it, there appears to be more depth and complexity to the design the more one looks at it. Although it is a long and big car, it doesn't appear so and is actually very sleek. It, dare I say it, makes the E60 look somewhat dated, a design which I have admired for its avant garde looks. One local journalist observed that the car has near perfect proportions and makes the 3 series look too short and the 7 series too long.
