My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.
I asked when will the F10 be available in the US and they answered that they typically have 7 year product cycles, but as usual, would not give a date. So with a 2004 start, 2011 would be the model year.
I later asked one privately if it will be a 2010 March or 2010 September launch in the US. He said that it could be either but that they will bring the car to market as soon as possible. He did say that they have been targeting March intros but if all of the technology is not ready for March it will be September.
I also asked about the Double Clutch tranny on non-M cars for the F10, he said they are guaging the interest level from the consumers.
so BMWNA "WE WANT DOUBLE CLUTCH."

E39 came to the US as a '97 model & the M5 didn't come till 2000. Then the E60 came in '04 and the M5 came in '06.
