Hi all,

Do you think the new 2.0lt turbo engine for the new X1 will make it to F10?

I find it quite likely that it will since small turbocharged engines are all the rage now especially in the EU with the new tough emissions standards manufacturers must meet. I am on the verge of ordering a 520d but would definitely put that off a few months if the new engine would find its way to the F10 soon.

Any idea about BMW's schedule for this engine appearing in different models?

The current F10 520dA is a very fine car with a perfect engine and trans (8-speed auto).

Yes I also believe that 520dA is a great car. I had a 48hr test drive last weekend and found it to be of highest quality build and quite competent.

Yet I find the idea of a 2.0T 245hp engine in F10 setup very intriguing. Don't you?

Yes, the 2.0L turbo will be in the 528i starting in September.

Shows that the new engine will pretty much be in every bmw model range.

Sure, but the 245 hp 2.0 l turbo diesel engine will be a fact in the 2020's, or sooner. The engine is technically possible now, but remember the CO2 emissions.
A 2.0 l turbo gasoline engine will come soon.
