I just noticed no side cameras. I thoughts the 550s come with all 7 or 8 cameras!!!

those cameras IIRC are part of the Driver Assistance pkg, and this specif option is not available to order until later this year, however some f10's on the lot will have them equipped with this option, most likely to get some fully loaded 550's out there initially....

It seems to be true that BMW is getting farther away from the Ultimate Driving Machine. My E39 540 6 speed, M5 and E46 330i were great handlers. I think the E60 was a step down from these and the F10 is another step down. It is more like my 745Li.
? Front end is just plain ugly. I parked to my friends 2008 550i and the difference is startling.
? Wheels have to be the worst sport package wheels ever produced by BMW
I?m not really as negative as it sounds. I?m sure it will grow on me and I will like it as I have all my previous BMWs (except 745Li).
I totally agree with you. After driving a 550i with Sport Package at the Ultimate Driving Event, I came to the harsh reality that another 5 may not be in my future. I actually got my e60 550 M Sport thinking it would be feel like my friends 2003 e39 540 M Sport... which it doesn't. The e39 is so much more a drivers car, although I have gotten used to mine and love it now. But this F10 is so disconnected feeling it feels very un-BMW to me.

I love the styling, the performance, the features, the ergonomics and workmanship. In my opinion, when I see my F10 parked next to an E60, I think the F10 looks more contemporary and "business-like"....whereas the E60 looks a little dated and mundane.....probably because I see lots of E60's on a daily basis. I have no complaints about the steering. To me, it's not heavy at all.....as a matter of fact, I think it might be just slightly too light; however, for me it's quick and precise and gets the job done. (I'm glad the car didn't have the dreaded Active Steering).
Is this your first BMW? Or have you driven many other BMWs? <-- I posted this and then saw on your own thread that you've owned a few other BMWs before as well. That said, you've experienced the older more "driver-oriented" models and with that I disagree with your rundown of the F10, mostly the "too light" perception. That's exactly what I was talking about with the car feeling disconnected from the road, which can be perceived as the car being lighter. The weight of the doors on the F10 (which are light) are indicative of that.
