The latest issue of auto, motor & sport has some more info on the F10/F11.
* It will be equipped with a "sports differential" (optional for some models?) that will further enhance the driving experience.
* Only turbo charged engines and only six and eight cylinders during the first year.
* Production start still in 2010 (no mention of which month).
As the holiday period now kicks in in Bavaria, there will probably be more out on the F10/F11 in August.

It wont be just 6 cylinders in the first year, 4 cylinder models are crucial for EU/ASIA markets , so 523d will surely be an option from the start

520d on the other hand apparently keeps the current turbo-engine, with 180 PS.
I am really looking forward to 525d in this case (in the touring - F11 form

Everything we've seen about the new 5er is good. It is clearly an evolutionary improvement on the E60. But it won't be the stunning revolution that our cars were when first introduced.

Seriously speaking though, I couldn't agree more - BMW has been "just saying no" to LSD as standard equipment for too friggin' long. In the meantime, you can get a $30k Subaru with what is just about the most sophisticated LSD ever made by men - WTF?!?! I feel cheated... well, I have x-drive, so its not that bad,

What does "sports differential" mean exactly? Would that be something akin to an LSD ?
