I have been looking into the 550i lease pricing, and I'm curious to what kind of pricing you've heard from dealers.

lets do

Price of Vehicle - $xx,xxx
Terms of Lease - 24, 36 ,48
Mileage - xx,xxx per year
Monthly payment $
Money out of pocket

Mine best deal I found so far is
$68,500
36 mo
$999
$3,500 due at signing

You didn't include mileage in your own example...

What is the money factor? What is the residual? Does it include taxes rolled into the payment or are you paying it up front? Are you rolling the acquisition fee into the payment or paying it up front? Tell me what the exact breakdown is of the $3,500 due at signing? What is the selling price of the vehicle? Don't make a cap cost reduction because if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose the money.

I agree that there's a bunch of missing information here. Without knowing much else, the $999/mo price seems a bit high...

$2800 is fees + $700 is cap reduction. Taxes are rolled into the payment. I believe the residual value will be 53% of the vehicle. Money factor is .0023

Almost 6% interest. Yikes. No wonder the payment is so high. The 53% residual is par for the course though for a V8 sport sedan.

I think all of the early lease rates on the F10 will be pretty crappy.

looks like your dealer is giving 1% better on the residual and lowest MF as per june rates posted here:

http://www.bimmerfes...ad.php?t=460470

"2011 BMW 550i Sedan
24 Month ? Residual 62% of MSRP ? .00230 Base Rate
36 Month ? Residual 54% of MSRP ? .00230 Base Rate
48 Month ? Residual 41% of MSRP ? .00230 Base Rate
60 Month ? Residual 34% of MSRP ? .00230 Base Rate "

but are you an exisiting BMW owner/leasee? Might be a better MF is so. If you direct your down payment to an MSD instead can/will it lower your MF anymore? Is there any trunk money right now for f10's? Or is it too new of a model/vehicle for that?

Guys, maybe you can help me out here, but what is the real benefit of leasing? Numbers i put together:

$999/month
36 month term
$3500 down
12k/year

Total $39,464

Total cost per mile = $1.10 (not including gas)

I really don't see the benefit of leasing at this cost.
