Just noticed this new photo tonight:

As I have said before, given the designs of the X6 and new 7 I really don't think the 5 is going to be nearly as radical as some of the sketches I have seen on the web, including here in recent threads. I KNOW it's still very early, but the first pic in this short article looks pretty "E39ish" to my eyes.

In a way the latest 7 looks like the model that might have followed the E38 (1995-2001) instead of the E65/66 (2001-2007), and I expect I'm going to have the same sort of reaction to the new F10. They seem to be taking a step back from controversial design, and I don't necessarily think that's a good thing. Regardless, I think the new F10 is going to be a beautiful, classically designed automobile.

Man I just don't know if I'll like that car or not. The new 3 series kicks butt, I wonder why they didn't steal some body lines from that!?
