Jaguar XF is the other reason F10 may be out in March 2009. One of my friends is picking up a Jag XF. Its a four door with either 300hp/310 ft lb or supercharged 420hp/408 ft lb 4.2 liter V8 engines. The pricing is similar to the 535 and 550. The local dealer has one, may go see it today.

also you have to live with the fact that it drives like a Mondeo and looks like a Hyundai in the front a Lexus GS on the side and a knock off Aston Martin from the back....what a car with some serious identity crisis. I think we will be comfortable with out cars until 2010 April. Even then our cars are soo ahead of its time....F10 will hardly make any major changes...it will be more evolution than revolution ......

I just got back, I drove the supercharged version. Looks are very subjective but I think it looks great from the back and sides, not a big fan of the chrome grill. The interior is very luxurious and void of switches, buttons, etc just like the BMW. Rear leg room and trunk space are good.
The SC has active suspension, 20" wheels(nice looking), dual exhausts and it is fast and seems to handle well. I did not push it though.

Well friends the lease on my 545 SMG is up in a week. I almost got a 550i sport as the replacement but by the time I spec'd it up to the same level as mine we were north of 70K. Dealer offered a 2500 cap reduction and 4 percent discount on top but it still hovered around 930 ish for a 12 K 36 Month lease. So I went in to look at a supercharged XF. Drove it and placed an order for it.
420HP, rear view Camera, overtaking vehicle warning, Ultrafast 6 speed ZF Gear box with Paddle shifters, 20 inch wheels CATS active suspension, Snow management program on DSC, Variable ratio steering and the very near 5 series handling with a more civilized ride. This is on top of all the stuff like pop up shifetr hideaway Air vents touch control interior lights and Glove Box and B&W premium sound!

All for 63 and change it's a no brainer.....

All the best of luck with it but with all due respect, last year Consumer Reports rated Jaguar the second most unreliable car you can buy in the US right behind Range Rover and slightly ahead of Mercedes. They are now part of an Indian conglomerate which I am hoping will make things better but for my money, I will go for what's proven and for what all other car manufactures aspire. I really hope that they gave you a hell of a warranty.

I would be shocked if BMW "reacted". Better for them to get a read on market reaction to the Jag and adjust issues if required....................JMHO !
