Hmm... I don't know about this anymore.... The pics don't seem to be " moving forward " in design
and style but more backwards..... I hate the MB and Audi but designwise, they've got more going
on................

I think it will look nice at the end, it?s almost mini 7 series.

A very old pic, but nevertheless - I really like the new interior design from BMW. Top marks!

In a way it is. The 1-series and 3-series shares several components, whereas the 5-series shares with the 6-series and the 7. This gives constraints when it comes to design; so there's a reason for it's similarity.

yes its conservative.. yes its a step backwards design-wise, compared to the "space age" E60 interior design... yes its conventional... it does not look so progressive as the concepts we see at the big shows in Frankfurt, Geneva etc.

but seriously, if we consider whats in the market now: I like it 1000x more than the E-class or the A6 interior

does anyone here seriously like the E or A6 interior more than this mini-7-series design we see in the pic? Design is subjective of course, but I am just wondering whether when someone says MB and Audi have "more going on", he means the brands in general or the specific 5er competitors?

and another point is that there is so much improvement potential vs. the E60 in terms of interior materials and build quality that I suspect that if BMW has done its homework, the F10 will feel like a different world inside. If only they can get rid of the random squeaks and other noises..

What? No real handbrake? Are you kidding me? That is enough reason not to buy F10 for me.
I can take no dipstick, or no temp gauge, but this?
I really hope new M5 comes with REAL handbrake. Come on!

Also, did you notice how high up the central tunnel is? Maybe it is just hte angle of hte pic.
