Does anyone know if you can play DVD's on a standard iDrive screen without the Sat Nav option which has the bigger screen ? Thanks.

I don't think so.
If you don't have nav (business or pro) you don't have any DVD player either.

I have an F11 with professional navigation and the DVD player is great. When in park you get video and sound and when park is released the video goes off but you still get sound.this is great for music/comedy DVDs but not so good for films !

Are there any aftermarket modules available yet to allow playing the DVD while driving? I know alekshop.com is working on it but does anyone have it yet?

check with eas as well...alekshop has been doing a lot of electrical and coding mods as of late, I'm sure they'll have something soon...

check this thread by eas (a bit old, but...)

***the thread was asked to be closed by the vendor, but I'm sure it's worth a pm to them at least...

their recent thread on m3posts regarding their product and other coding features they can do..

looks like alekshop is also carrying a multimedia kit which will allow you to play dvd's while in drive:

For the CIC you dont need a module to allow it to play while you drive. Coding it alone is sufficient.

I chimed in to say the same. I have been looking over trace files and what not, and from what I can see, coding alone will get this done.

hmm...alekshop does a lot of coding, so does eas...wonder if they offer just a straight coding option for this then...
