The E60 wipers where easy to lift up. But not anymore with the F10 wipers.

The iDrive tells:

"Press the wiper lever up beyond the point of resistance and hold it for approx. 3 seconds,
until the wiper remains in a nearly vertical position.
After the wipers are folded back down, the wiper system, refer to page 64, must be reactivated."

"Page.64 Switching on
Press the wiper levers up. The lever automatically returns to its initial position when released."

Can anyone tell me about the real behaving and/or have the actual visual act?

Thanks!

I've noticed that the wipers can be easily turned upwards manually when the ignition is off.
Just as if the are mechanically disconnected from the wiper motors.

Did try that but failed. I mean first stopping the engine and by pushing the Start/Stop button again
without pushing the brake pedal when the wipers are in high peak position.
The wipers where in auto mode.

With the ignition off simply move them up with yoru hand... I do this every time I wash the car.
Fist activation after you start up again sends them back below the bonnet.

Neat

Are you sure? When they are down there's no room to lift them up. With the E60 it was possible.

But this is not a problem anymore, I now understand the activity.

But it needs not only to turn off ignition but also the power!

So the iDrive should say "Switch off the ignition and the power."

I think what artc mean is that you can move the wiper arm upwards in its natural motion path, the same path as they normally travel when they wipe.

No problem. But why use the "manual" mode?

It may harm the wiper engine?
