Good Deal ?? Please help .. ready to pull the trigger
Hey Guys,
Please let me know what you think I should pay for this Car at a local BMW dealer ?? He is asking $59k 2012 535i Xdrive Color: Arctic White Miles: 2500 Premium Package M- Sport Cold Weather Technology Package Premium Sound Package |
Considering the low miles and options it does seem like a good deal - but considering natural depreciation I feel like there should be good room for negotiation in that price.

You had a point. Of course, you can negotiate the price you will both agree. ;)
Perhaps, you may also try searching some option through internet. In fact, I used a website I came across to locate a dealership near me. I ended up finding a BMW dealership that I really liked. As soon as I got there, somebody was out to help me immediately. It was the ideal amount of time to look before I got the help I needed. Hence, it's one of the best vehicle purchasing experience I ever had. :) |
Do you know if it's a dealer loaner? Or a sold and returned car? Either of those factors would impact the price IF I were the buyer. In the first situation you've probably read how some posters treat (mistreat) loaners. In the second situation you'd show on Carfax or BMW records as the second owner - multiple owner cars typically have lower resale values down the road.

might be a loaner or perhaps an executive lease car..does the car have a clean history? have you checked the history?
|
not a loaner or leased car. Car was purchased driven for 2 months and swapped for an m6.

I don't see "Arctic" White as an option -- if so potentially add $500. With all the options it shows that the average price paid for the car when new as $61,000. The very low end was ~58k and the high end paid ~64k for the same config. Keep in mind that's brand new. You're talking a previous year model, less warranty, and 2500 miles on it. I'd shoot for $55,000 or less if I were you. Edit: Also, I saw your answer but never buy a loaner unless they discount it like 50%. ;-) |
