Hi,

As you all probably know from my posting (whining?) here about manuals, I am an avid fan of manual transmissions. I need a larger car and was originally looking with great anticipation at the new F10 - either for the xDrive saloon or the xDrive wagon. Well, the wagon as we all know was canceled in the US and BMW stupidly decided not to offer manual on the xDrive. So in looking for a larger vehicle, I see the final year of the E91 3-series wagon has just out-of-the-park deals on leases; it's xDrive AND manual (although only the regular 3.0 liter not the turbo).

So what I'm wondering - what am I not able to get in the 2011 E91 that I can get on the 535i or xi?

Specifically, I want:

- Navigation System
- Combox and BMW Office
- Bluetooth and Online Info Services
- Smartphone Integration
- iPod and USB adapter
- Upgraded sound system (13 speaker in 3er vs 16 in 5er, I think??)
- Heated front seats
- Auto-dimming interior/exterior mirrors
- Xenon lights
- 17 or 18" allseason tires
- Anti-theft alarm
- BMW assist
- wiring for sat radio

I am also intrigued by what I've read here about either 6NP or 6NR (or both??) - I need details on them and if they'd be available in March on the E91.

I appreciate all of your help. Selecting a car has been difficult time time around.

It's definitely 6NR - BMW Connected - that I want for sure.

You need a post Sept production car. They have the combox which will allow the future BMW Connected upgrades. All the other options you list are available on the E91. The only thing you won't find are things like the side and rear view camera options or HUD on the E91...

Thanks! So is it true that the 6NR options are possible post-delivery? Or should I ensure the dealer waits for a March build...?

Ultimately the only sure way is a March build but word on the street is that for cars with the combox, it will be a software update...

Thanks for that! I'm going to go to the dealership Friday to lock in the low rate. They have build slots so we'll keep shifting it back until we get a March 2011 prod.

I've purchase a 2010/09 530D GT and was hoping it has a combox installed, which i'll get tomorrow

I noticed when test driving it had some online built in as i didn't have my phone coonected yet ( iphone 5 ) it has weather , google street view etc didn't see any bmw internet thou , is that a code to enable it even if i have to tether of from my phone ?
