My Ride: 04 545i silver grey, 6spd, comfort seats, L7, sport, cold weather, rear heated seats
My dealer was nice enough to get me a 5 series loaner from their sales department, so I could take it for an extended test drive while they completed the recall work. I don't know if they have something programmed but the car doesn't seem to accelerate past 5k rpms (was dangerous on the highway since I didn't know). Also for some reason, the windshield washer jets don't work, but the ones for the headlights are working. I'm thinking they're still frozen but I was already out for 20 minutes. Anyways, any help would be appreciated.

Check your shifter and make sure it is not in manual mode, same thing happened to me until I realized what was happening.

What was the car - a diesel? Otherwise the dealer may have been set a rev limit.
Was it freezing cold outside? The washer fluid may have been frozen.
More info needed!
