I know all you guys who have had this feature before on larger engined models will say "told you so", but for me this was a shocker.
Electronic oil measurement was showing 75% between Min & Max....... actual dipstick level was on MIN !!!!! Car has used that much oil in 23,000K. If you're an F10 520D owner, check your oil level manually |

More detail: towards the rear of the engine - follow the black plastic air intake backwards as a guide. |

As you stand in front of the car, look to the right hand side of engine below the plastic engine cover - the dipstick has a black plastic top on it.
